Socrates socratic seminar

In this seminar (discussion about soething) we talked about socrates. We also talked about the four greek virtues (Prudence, Fortitude, Temperance, Justice). I will post my notes and then will go in deapth about the seminar in this blog.

Ignorance means justice
eye for eye
No univesal virtue
What is ignorance (lack of 4 virtues?)
Everything is a opinion

I will first go over my first note. I was talking about the saying that "Wrongdoing is a consequence of ignorance" said by Socrates. It means that humans do wrongs out of ignorance.

The second note is referencing the famous saying, eye for an eye. That means that revenge is justice which I made a point of saying when we talked of justice.

No universal virtue means that virtue is in the eye of the beholder. in other words every thing is of opinion which i will go into later.

Someone suggested that ignorance was the lack of the four virtues which are Prudence, Fortitude, Temperance, and Justice. It also means that our wellbeing depends on these 4 virtues.

The last thing is something that I brought up throughout the seminar. Everything is of opinion. To clarify this prospect, we must look at what a fact is. Facts are percived by the mind and therfore opinions. That means that being opinions they are not deffinet andnothing is certain or everything is of opinion. So in order to be truly wise, one must know nothing for then they are correct in thinking that their thoughts are their point of veiw.

So those are the notes I took and some explanation of them. The discussion was fairly interesting and I learned my classmates opinions. I know secratic seminars to be great and therefore think it making it my opinion. My logic is immaculate.
